Campus Testing

Surveillance testing for COVID-19 is no longer conducted on campus.

We encourage those with COVID-like symptoms to consider whether testing for COVID-19 or other respiratory illnesses is necessary.  Most people with COVID-19 or other respiratory illnesses (influenza or cold viruses) have mild illness and can recover at home.  People can treat their symptoms with over-the-counter medications, such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen, to help feel better.  Prescription medications are usually not necessary.  People who are at risk for serious illness due to respiratory illnesses (those who are over age 65, are immune-compromised, or who have chronic heart and lung conditions) should seek an evaluation with a medical care provider.  Please click the Having COVID symptoms button above to learn more information.

Services available on-campus at Student Health Services (Myrtle residence hall ground floor):

  • Care-appointments and nurse-performed COVID-tests are available M - F 8am - 5pm (students only).
  • At-home COVID tests are available for purchase.
