Joshua D. Schwartz, Ph.D.

Dr. Josh Schwartz hails originally from Montreal, Canada and is an associate professor in the Engineering Science department. He teaches circuit theory, electronics, and high-frequency electromagnetics. Dr. Schwartz also coordinates a popular course for First-Year students called 'Why People Believe Weird Things'.
His research interests include microwave engineering, photonics, and a dash of analog circuits. He was honored with the 2009 IEEE Microwave Prize for a publication on applied dispersive microwave structures, and his doctoral and post-doctoral works have been generously funded through Canadian government agencies at federal and provincial levels. He is excited to join Trinity University and hopes to instill in his students the same passion for knowledge and understanding that motivates his teaching.
